Not having a fantastic day

Lots of stuff. No big deal.

On the plus side, I’m really very happy with how today’s panel turned out, despite my speed at drawing it. I really need to use more solid blacked out areas, I love it. Time to do some more research on that style. Suggestions?

Alright I’ll probably have another update before Monday, because I had a better weekend point than this in mind. See you all then.

Phew!

Sorry in advance if anything is wrong with this comic, this is probably the fastest I’ve ever worked. I didn’t feel well last night and couldn’t get myself to finish the drawing right, so I woke up this morning, a little later than I would have liked, and busted the entire thing out before I have to take a 30 second shower and sprint to work. And I’m off!

Sorry guys, running so behind this week. For those that don’t know, I’m moving back to NY this month, so things are a little hectic. Next week I’ll be in NYC all week trying to find a new job, etc, so I plan to wrap up this week with a the beginning of Arcane Science, and then provide you guys with story related sketches for the following week, due to my very busy schedule. The week of thanksgiving should actually be more open, I believe, so expect real updates again starting then!

As far as this week is concerned, don’t worry, I still have updates. I’m just running behind. I’ll post one later today and another tomorrow. Don’t worry, I’ll figure this schedule thing out. I hope my new job has more manageable hours so I can work more on this!

Missing my colorist

Hey all. So Anii is super busy working three freelance gigs in addition to her other job, and even though she said she’d still find the time to color for me this week, I decided to let her finish her real work. No worries, she’ll go back through this weekend and touch up my work, so it’s just a temporary thing. She kinda gets blinders on when it comes to work, so I’ve got to look out for her.

That being said, I’m not really happy with the word layout in this panel. I wish there was a way to have text bubbles that just didn’t cover the background. It’s always been an issue of mine. I’ll lay the next one out better. On the bright side, check out Abby’s new attire! I worked really hard on it, and of the 50 some odd costumes I sketched out, it was my favorite. So I hope you guys enjoy it :)

Arcane Science

And so begins the Arcane Science arc. This is the arc where I plan to really get into Alchemy and the roots of Magic. What’s the deal with Khem? What can Oliver and Abigail do with this information? It should be a lot of fun to write, and I hope you guys are as excited as I am!

Busy

Hey guys, sorry I couldn’t update today. I literally had to spend all day cleaning up the mess from my car accident. Apparently the car was totaled. I spent all morning talking to the police and the insurance people and collecting my license plates and what have you, and then I worked for 7 hours. I’m completely wiped. On top of that, I promised you guys a full page Friday update, and I’m completely out of large paper. Expect a full page update tomorrow, you have my word.
