Actually it no longer resembles the first, which is now a joke from Venture Bros.  Sorta. But people who read this title before chuckled, and it was the first comment I got on the site, so I guess I’ll keep it.   I digress. So this is my first actual journal entry! It’s very exciting for me, as I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time.  Anyone who knows me will remember that Honey and the Whirlwind is very close to my heart, as it is the story I’ve been trying to write and rewrite as a novel for years.  I truly believe, however, that I was simply trying to tell it in the wrong medium.

I’ve always wanted to start a webcomic, well at least since some point after being told by a college interviewer that comics were no longer “penned” and  also very shortly after I realized that webcomics were a thing. (I was not interwebs savvy ).  Also since giving up art for writing I haven’t been the most confident in my art skills.  But after developing an addiction to Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, I asked it’s creator, Mookie, for advice.  He told me to dive right in, and not to think about it. Doing it is the only way to do it, and sitting around thinking about it will lead to perpetual procrastination.  (I’m paraphrasing, but it did motivate me quite a bit).

So here I am, flying by the seat of my pants.  I hope you will enjoy reading these stories as much as I enjoy creating them!  The fact that you’ve read this far is more of an achievement than I’ve had in some time (unless you count World of Warcraft, which I don’t) and I’m very grateful to all of you who may one day be fans, and friends.  Thank you all!
