I think this pallet is great for a standard, not that I didn’t like the original “mundane” pallet.
But… I like the old font better for text. I’m still a typography nut, so i really only like speech bubbles with a nice and readable font or by a professional letterer.
Abby looks great, it’s really hard to draw people in weird poses like that, especially panel 2.
Stop having a boring Tuna, stop having a boring life! POR QUEEEEEEEE!?
Abby looks great upside down on the couch! That couldn’t have been easy to draw, so great job. I like the color palette too. I went back from panel 1 and read to current strip and can already tell you’re getting better and more and more into your groove. Which makes the future of the strip all the more exciting!
I do have to agree with Sean though, I like the old font better. This is a little harder for me to read.
By the way, what else could a girl ever ask for on her birthday than a shout out on Honey and the Whirlwind? Interestingly enough, I’d already written a HATW shout out on my blog. Not that my blog has an audience, but just sayin’.
@EmilytheSpoon, Haha thanks Em. Sorry though, I really like this font. Hope everyone doesn’t hate it, I really like the character it gives. I’ll try to make it more clean to read in the future. I’d just hand write it but my handwriting is all small and scratchy. Probably why I like this one, but at least it’s a real font. Font font font I’ve typed font a lot tonight. Happy Birthday!
Wow, I love this comic! Found it off another comic I love, Dominic-Deegan. Anyways, I think the story is going somewhere awesome, not sure what though… Eheh, please don’t stop being awesome!
Rezidual Shok
Thanks so much! I love Dominic Deegan too! You should thank Mookie, he’s the one who told me to stop sitting around thinking about my story and just go for it! I owe a lot to him for that haha.
I just stopped by this comic for the first time (found it via johnnywander) and I really like it (font and all). The font gives it more chracter and life. The first font solely gets the point across.

Maybe if you make the font a little bigger? I too found it a little hard to read.
On a different note I agree with Em, frame 2 must have taken a while, lots of detail and extra flare :).

Just so you know, the font looks a LOT better now. Much clearer to read. Yay!

Is that a Pablo Francisco reference I see in the first frame? Por que, Maria?!

I think the font looks fine at this size, but I dunno what it looked like before. I love Abby’s jacket-y capris.
I agree with Sean, “Stop having a boring Tuna, stop having a boring life! POR QUEEEEEEEE!?”
